The exhibition Opaque Dimension represents one of the first attempts of confronting the works of two young Czech visual artists, the painter Argišt Alaverdyan and the intermedia artist Jozef Mrva Jr. Both artists introduce their most current works, which were partially inspired by this collaborative project. Alaverdyan exhibits a series of new paintings and Jozef Mrva introduces new editing versions of his 3D animations, as well as a pair of prints on textile which were created as a response to the exhibition space and to the impulses coming from Alaverdyan’s paintings.

Argišť Alaverdyan was born in 1991 in Armenia. Since 1993 he has lived in the Czech Republic. In 2017 he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and he was nominated for the university students’ EXIT Prize. In 2017 he also became one of the finalists of the Prize for Young Painting 2018. He has held solo exhibitions in numerous Prague galleries, for example in Nina Hedwic Gallery (2014), Vyšehrad Gallery or Jedna Dva Tři Gallery (2016).
